The film, a Rohit Shetty directorial, stars Akshay as the title character. He plays the Chief of the Anti-terrorism Squad. Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn make extended guest appearances in their reprised roles from previous films of the franchise, Simmba, and Singham respectively. Kumar's character was announced towards the end of Simmba that served as a character introduction of 'Sooryavanshi'.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the new poster on his Twitter. He also praised the trailer that is set to launch on March 2. It is unusually long at four minutes but a must-watch. Check it out:

Sooryavanshi is an upcoming action film directed by Rohit Shetty and written by Sajid-Farhad. It is produced by Shetty, Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta. It is the fourth installment of Shetty's Police Universe and features Akshay Kumar as the titular character opposite Katrina Kaif.
The film co-stars Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharika Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikander Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Vivan Bhatena and it is slated to release on March 24, 2020.
